(FAQ is under construction, please pardon my dust)!

Q: How do you wash cloth diapers?

A: Its's pretty easy actually, but click here for detailed printable instructions!

Q: Is it really better for the enviroment since it takes more energy to wash them?

A: Cloth diaper ARE better for the enviroment, but that does not mean that they don't have some impact on  it at all!  The impact with cloth is FAR LESS though.  There somewhere around 20 BILLION diapers going into the landfills each year in the US alone.  Each diaper takes an estimated 500 years to decompose.  That's alot of time and alot of poo!  Did you know that people using disposables are supposed to be scraping the waste into the toilet before depositing the diaper into the trash?  Many don't know this.  The reason is becuase poo carries disease and tons of poo over 500 years is no laughing matter!  With cloth on the other hand, all you are doing is taking a little extra water (about 1 load of launrdy a week) and if you line dry you are saving energy and removing stains all at the same time!

Q: Cloth diapers cost more than disposables, so how am I saving money?

A: That is so deceiving to so many people!  The cost is only more up front and it really depends on what method you go for.  Here is an example:

  • You change baby about 6-10 times per day
  • That's around a whopping  2,190-3,650 per year

Most children potty train by age 3, so lets go crunch some more numbers and see what we find :-)

  • Changed 6-10 times per day per year for 3 years = 23,981-38,982 diaper per year!!
  • Most disposables average at about $0.35 each (let's do the math-it will be fun)
  • You would be spending about ((23,981 x 0.35 = ???))   &   ((38,982 x 0.35 = ???))
  • The answer?      $8,393.35 - $13,643.70 WOW!!!

Now lets look at the cost of cloth diapering.  You have to keep in mind these 4 VERY IMPORTANT FACTS:

        1. YOU CAN RE-USE YOUR DIAPER ON YOUR OTHER CHILDREN
        2. YOU CAN SELL YOUR DIAPER FOR CLOSE TO WHAT YOU PAID FOR THEM
        3. YOU CAN DONATE THEM TO LOCAL CHARITIES
        4. THEY PAY FOR THEMSELVES!!!!!

Q: What do I need to start cloth diapering?

A: Look at the above cost comparison, all of the items are there, but there are some fun thinds like Diapers Sprayers, Organic/Vegan Buns N Such that you might like to try!

Q: What are the reasons I should cloth diaper?

A: There are so many reason, I will list some for you but really I could go on and on :-)

  1. Your baby's comfort and well-being -You don't wear paper underwear and stew in your own air-trapped left-overs so why should baby!
  2. Cloth diapers are chemical free!
    • Sodium Polyacrylate is a clear gel-like substance you often find on your baby's bum after a diaper change.  It is what makes diapers very absorbant and able to hoald LOADS of pee!  It was also used in tampons in 1985 and was banned because of its link to Toxic Shock Syndrome. HELLO!!
    • New scientific studies have linked disposable diapers and their harsh perfumes and toxic substances to the increase of asthma in our generation! Laboratory rats exposed to disposable diapers straight out of the package have suffered increased eye, nose and throat irritation, as well as bronchioconstriction similar to that of an asthma attack (according to Rosalind C. Anderson, lead author of the report "Acute Respiratory Effects of Diaper Emissions", Archives of Environmental Health, 54, October 1999). -I DO NOT SUPPORT STUDIES DONE ON ANIMALS!

  3. Cloth Diaper Can Breathe-No more lowered sperm count!!!!  Bye Bye yeast infections and diaper rash!

  4. Potty Trainer usually happens sooner and is quicker- Not many people know this!

  5.  You Save Money- In today's economy it is SO important!  I already proved how much cheaper it is!

  6. Because they are cuter!-Let's just face it, when you baby has fluffy buns it just makes you happy!

  7. It is more convenient- YES I said it, no more  trips to wal mart with 3 screaming babies 6am because "we forgot", they will just be there
